Dulles Planning Emergency Exercise

WASHINGTON (AP) -- More than 100 volunteer actors will participate in a simulated aircraft accident at Dulles International Airport outside Washington.

Saturday's exercise will include a trainer aircraft that will be lit on fire. More than 50 emergency vehicles are expected to participate, in addition to the actors who will simulate injuries.

The exercise will take place on a closed runway and is not expected to affect airport operations. The exercise will test the airport's emergency plan and provide hands-on training. The exercise is planned from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
