Old-Time Jam Sessions Return To Md. State Park

GRANTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Musicians and music lovers are returning to New Germany State Park in western Maryland for a series of old-timey jam sessions.

The season opens Friday at the Lake House inside the park.

The jams are open to the public. They are generally held every other Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Park officials say it's an opportunity for musicians and spectators of all ages to enjoy traditional folk, bluegrass and Appalachian music.
