Bicyclist Struck By Car In Baltimore County, Being Treated For Potentially Life Threatening Injuries

PIKESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — A bicyclist is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Baltimore County.

Police say Melvin Pachino was riding his bike westbound on Smith Avenue in Pikesville when a car going eastbound pulled out and struck him.

Pachino, 52, was flown to Shock Trauma, where he’s now being treated for potentially life threatening injuries.

Police say charges are pending against the driver, Shunji Watanabe.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
