WEATHER BLOG: Clouds A Comin'
High pressure will start moving out of the region allowing an area of low pressure to slowly creep into the mid-Atlantic from the Mississippi River Valley tonight and Monday. Clouds will begin to increase ahead of this system overnight.
We are looking at a mainly cloudy day and a mostly dry day for Monday, however I am keeping the slight chance for a sprinkle or shower during the afternoon and evening in the forecast. Chances for rain will increase on Tuesday, and even more by Wednesday with the chance of a thunderstorm by Wednesday afternoon.
Wednesday will be the wettest day of the week with accumulating rainfall, especially during the morning commute. We could see anywhere from 0.25"-0.50" of rainfall on Wednesday morning alone. Models are trending towards a drier end to the work-week with temps nearing 80 degrees by Friday.
