Change In Jail Leadership After Black Guerrilla Family Scandal

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- More fallout in the sex, drugs and gang scandal inside Baltimore City jails. Now there's a change in jail leadership.

Jessica Kartalija has the latest twist in this scandal.

The security chief has been removed from her job at the Baltimore City Detention Center. The security guard is the third ranking official at the Detention Center. The role of a security chief is to oversee the security operations of a correctional institution.

This comes after a federal indictment of several inmates and prison guards, who were allegedly running a widespread smuggling operation inside the jail involving drugs, cell phones and other contraband.

One inmate allegedly got four female corrections officers pregnant.
