Montgomery Police To Enforce Pedestrian Safety
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Police in Montgomery County say they're enforcing pedestrian safety this month.
Officers from the department's traffic division will be conducting a "sting" at an undisclosed intersection on Wednesday.
The officers will be out from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in bright-colored clothing and will issue citations to drivers who do not yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
The department says the officers will be conducting a series of similar stings throughout the month.
