Steve Davis: Ravens Still Need A Receiver
The Ravens aren't done shopping this off-season, at least I hope not. They have done an amazing job filling in some holes, re-tooling, and even upgrading.
That said, they still need to do something at receiver.
They have one starter on their team, Torrey Smith. They don't want Jones to be the other starter, and for good reason. He's not that good at receiver, and he's too valuable returning punts and kicks.
The others: Doss, Thompson, Reed, Streeter, Williams, and now Mellette, are too unproven to count on one of them.
I am sure the Ravens know that, and I would be stunned if there isn't an addition before the season starts, of a veteran, proven receiver.
