Baltimore Teenager Pleads Guilty To Carryout Murder
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore teenager has pleaded guilty to killing a customer in a carryout restaurant.
Markell Jones was accusing of killed army veteran Freddie Jones Jr. in 2011.
The two are not related.
The murder allegedly occurred at Yau Brothers Carryout in the 2900 block of Greenmount Avenue.
Surveillance video showed Freddie Jones Jr. waiting for his order as he was approached by four men. Jones resisted robbery and was shot to death.
After viewing the video, a family member turned in then 17-year-old Markell Jones to police.
Jones pled guilty to first-degree murder and use of a handgun in a crime of violence
Jones could face a maximum of life in prison with all but 50 years suspended and five years of probation when he is sentenced July 2.
