Faith Leaders To Gather For Health Care Summit
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland faith leaders will be gathering for a summit to learn more about new health insurance options under the federal health care overhaul.
Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Secretary Joshua Sharfstein is scheduled to speak at Tuesday's event in Baltimore.
Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings also is scheduled to attend.
The event will include a panel discussion on implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Maryland.
The Health Reform Faith Leader Summit also will feature sessions that focus on Medicaid expansion in Maryland.
