BWI Runway Closures Set For Overnight This Weekend
LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) -- Commercial runways will be temporarily closed at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Officials say the runway closures, which will occur during late-night hours, are needed as part of airfield improvement work.
One runway is scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday through 4 p.m. on Sunday. The other runway is scheduled to be closed from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
A separate runway will be used for most commercial operations, though officials say late-night airport operations are limited to begin with.
Bad weather could postpone the work.
