Jim Duquette, of Baltimore Baseball Tonight right here on 105.7 The Fan, joins The Scott Graceau Show with Jeremy Conn to break down the recent Orioles losing streak. Jim talks about who he is very surprised that it has been the bullpen that has let the Orioles down. Duquette talks about how Jim Johnson has to adjust to the fact that teams are now attacking the first pitch. Duquette talks of using him in a non-save situation to try to regain his confidence, much like the Orioles are currently doing with Pedro Strop. Jim Duquette goes on to give his take on the replay situation in the MLB, and how that next season you most likely will see more, and will continue to see more throughout the years. Jim goes on to talk of pitchers that could be possible for the Orioles to try to go after closer towards the deadline, but he feels these guys are not front of the rotation pitchers, they’re more back-end of the rotation. With the number of injuries the Yankees have had to deal with this season, Jim gives us his take on how they keep winning, and it starts with their pitchers who are keeping them in close games.
