Unusually cool weather marked the start of the holiday weekend thanks to an area of Canadian high pressure. Highs today are expected in the low 70s across the region with breezy conditions. The winds should start to die down overnight and with the help of mostly clear skies… tonight will be CHILLY with lows in the 40s. Temps will be trending warming starting Memorial Day along with plenty of sunshine! On Tuesday, temps will peak well into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. A warm front approaching from the Ohio Valley will bring clouds late on Tuesday and just a slight chance for a late-day thundershower and we can’t rule out a rumble of thunder on Wednesday as well (especially north of the metro area). By Thursday and Friday… high temps will be soaring into the 90s!
