Watch Video: Kitten Rescued From Inside Wall Of Glen Burnie Apartment

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)— Anne Arundel County firefighters rescued a kitten stuck inside an apartment's wall.

Firefighters were called last Friday to the 8000 block of Nolpark Court in Glen Burnie.

Upon arrival, personnel were directed to an apartment where they heard a faint noise sounding like a cat meowing.

Using a thermal imager, personnel isolated a location that showed heat within the wall.  A 1'x2'hole was then cut, and a camera phone was used to look up the wall to confirm the location of the cat.

The kitten ,who was no more than a few weeks old, was found sitting on the fire stop in the wall.

It is unclear how it got down into the wall.

The kitten was turned over to Animal Control, who unfortunately had to euthanize it.
