Woman Not Guilty Of Killing Quadriplegic Husband
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- A Howard County jury has acquitted a woman of killing her quadriplegic husband.
The jury found 53-year-old Nancy Molony not guilty of second-degree murder and all other charges Thursday.
The body of 51-year-old Kevin Molony was found in his bed in February 2011. He had required round-the-clock nursing care since a car crash left him paralyzed in 2007.
An autopsy determined Kevin Molony died of an overdose of oxycodone.
WBAL-TV reports that defense attorney Kimberly Alley said in closing arguments that Kevin Molony died because of his own addiction.
