Woman Dies After Two-Car Collision On Southbound I-95

ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) --A woman dies after a two-car collision on southbound Interstate 95.

The accident happened early Saturday morning near Exit 49.

The driver of a Toyota Camry on the interstate turned left perpendicular to the roadway and traveled from the third lane to the first lane.

The Toyota was struck on the driver's side by a car going southbound.

A passenger in that vehicle, Abida M. Iqbal, was ejected.

She was sent to St. Agnes Hospital, where she later died.

The driver and two other passengers were sent to Shock Trauma.

The driver and passenger in the other car were not injured.

The Golden Ring Barrack of the Maryland State Police is investigating the collision.
