Investigators say the 25-year-old officer was paid off to provide armed and uniformed protection for a person she thought was a major heroin dealer.
That person really turned out to be an informant working for the cops.
Roane and her roommate, 25-year-old Erica Hughes, are also charged in an elaborate identity theft scheme, involving more than 30 victims.
Right now, Roane is detained pending a detention hearing set for Tuesday.
Hughes is released on home detention with electronic monitoring.
