Stolen Cell Phones Found Via GPS Tracking

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Ocean City Police say officers found three stolen cell phones after the owners tracked the devices and one of them was heard ringing in a suspect's pocket.

Police were called by the victims about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, who said their three iPhones and credit cards had been stolen. The victims tracking the phones using the GPS feature to near the Crystal Beach Hotel.

Officers say one of the victims activated an alarm on the phone, which they heard coming from a hotel room.

Police entered the room and found a man and heard the alarm from his pants pocket. Officers found the phone and the two others, plus two wallets belonging to the victims.

Fifty-two-year-old Stanley Darnell Harris of Washington has been charged with theft.
