Fran Charles of the MLB Network joined “Baltimore Baseball Tonight Last Call with Mark Zinno” to discuss the Orioles and all things Major League Baseball. Fran thinks the Yankees are slipping back and that the Orioles are making a push forward.

First up were the Orioles pitching staff. Zinno was a big advocate that the Orioles never out of a game do to their offensive firepower; however he believes that the only thing that could hinder the Orioles championship chances is their starting rotation. Fran agrees for the most part due to the fact that there is no pitcher that fears the Orioles rotation. “Their bullpen is what is going to help this team down the stretch.”

Next Zinno and Fran discussed the young star Manny Machado, and his chances that he could make the All-star team and even possibly start in the all-star game. “There is quite the log jam at third with Machado, Adrian Beltre and even Miguel Cabrera… But I think the manager will have to steal a spot from another position to carry three third basemen.”
