Man Convicted In Oxycodone Distribution Scheme

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man has been convicted of recruiting workers in doctors' offices to get fake prescriptions for oxycodone.

Thirty-eight-year-old Lenny Cain was convicted Tuesday after a 2-week trial in federal court in Baltimore. He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison at sentencing Sept. 3.

According to trial testimony, Cain got the fraudulent prescriptions from workers in medical officers and recruited runners to fill the prescriptions at local pharmacies.

Prosecutors say seven conspirators have pleaded guilty in the scheme.
