OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ) — Another milestone for the world champion Baltimore Ravens. After winning the Super Bowl and meeting the president, now the team has received their championship rings.

Meghan McCorkell was with the team for this special occasion.

Many of the players say they had no idea what the ring looked like before they opened that box Friday night.

A star studded celebration turns the Ravens practice field into a massive dance party. The team coming together to receive the ultimate prize: their world championship Super Bowl rings.

“I can see how women feel when they get a ring. I keep looking at this thing. It has a lot of different meanings, you know? There will never be another season like this,” said wide receiver Torrey Smith.

After the ceremony, three powerhouse players came together.

For Ravens legend Ray Lewis, it’s even sweeter the second time around.

“To be here, to have something that symbolizes it, it’s the ultimate. Because now it connects us forever,” he said.

“It finally hit me, just exactly what we accomplished together. And, you know, it didn’t take a year. It took, like I said, it took me 11 years to get it,” said linebacker Terrell Suggs.

Owner Steve Bisciotti got feedback on the ring design from both Ray Lewis and Joe Flacco. The massive ring, made out of white gold and diamonds, features not one, but two Lombardi Trophies.

The players admit, it’s probably not for daily wear.

“I don’t think so, this is kind of unwearable. But over the next couple days when I go home and probably over the next month when I see people for the first time I’m sure they’re probably going to have some interest in seeing it,” said quarterback Joe Flacco.

The players’ only interest: getting their hands on another one next season.

Late owner Art Modell’s two sons were also given championship rings.

The Ravens will be putting out a limited edition jewelry line for fans based on the championship ring design.
