AA County Advises Residents To Stay Out Of Water

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County health officials are telling beachgoers to stay out of the water this weekend because of high levels of bacteria.

The county health department on Friday issued a no swimming advisory that extends for at least 48 hours.

The advisory is due to predicted elevated bacteria levels in the water caused by heavy rain and rainwater runoff.

Officials are reminding residents not to swim in cloudy or murky water.
