WEATHER BLOG: Andrea's Gone

With the storm pulling farther away we will have breaks of sunshine today as drier air pushes in behind the storm. Of note farther to the south and west, there is an upper level disturbance coming up that basically crosses the area later this morning and this afternoon. As per radar, we think parts of the area are going to have a passing shower, perhaps a thunderstorm, later this morning into this afternoon. Not everyone will see one as the developing lower and mid level westerly flow behind Andrea sweeps away a lot of the available moisture. Something that needs to be covered, but overall, not a bad day today after the wet day yesterday. With breaks of sunshine temperatures make the jump all the way up toward 80.

Dry weather will be the rule tonight with patchy clouds and tomorrow will be mostly dry with some sunshine. All of this as weak high pressure slides from northwest to southeast to our north.. Moisture will start to increase tomorrow afternoon from the south as the high slides by to the north and east and we can't rule out a shower or thunderstorm popping up.

This increasing moisture out ahead of the the next trough that is forecast to develop into an upper level low will be approaching from the west and we look for moisture and shower, even thunderstorm chances to be back on the increase once again tomorrow night and Monday with at least a couple of showers and a thunderstorm in the area Monday.

It looks like the cold front supported by this eastward moving upper low will be coming across or toward the area Tuesday and once again there could be a few hours of wet weather and some thunder.
