Suspect In Killing Of Toddler Believed To Be In NY

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Police believe a suspect in the fatal shooting of a toddler has fled to New York City.

Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says Rashid Mayo is a suspect in the slaying of 1-year-old Carter Scott. The boy and his father were shot as they sat in a car in the Cherry Hill neighborhood May 24. The father was critically injured.

Several suspects have already been arrested.

Mayo could be hiding in New York City or the surrounding area. Police warn that Mayo may be armed and extremely dangerous.

Anyone who knows of Mayo's whereabouts is urged to call the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-800-336-0102.
