Teacher Charged With Sexually Abusing Students

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police have arrested a teacher they say sexually abused his students at a Silver Spring middle school.

Thirty-three-year-old Benjamin Robert Cano of Edgewater was charged last week with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor and three counts third-degree sex offense.

Detectives tell The Capital of Annapolis that an official at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School told police that Cano had touched two students inappropriately. The two girls told authorities that a third girl had been touched inappropriately by Cano.
