WEATHER BLOG: Gorgeous

A ridge of high pressure will keep the weather in decent shape for today and most of the upcoming weekend. On this, the first day of summer, temperatures in the lower 80s should be near or slightly below the seasonal averages for today's date -- but it will be turning a bit warmer and more humid over the weekend, especially on Sunday.

As the ridge of high pressure begins to drift slowly to the east, and a return flow of air on the back side of it ushers in some moisture, there will be an uptick in the humidity from Sunday into early next week. Couple this with temperatures that will reach the lower 90s on Sunday or Monday, and it will certainly "feel like summertime" during the middle of the forecast period... There could be a couple of thunderstorms early next week, but they should be widely separated or scattered until we come closer to Wednesday -- at this point, the midweek period appears as if it will be the most active.

Have a good weekend!!
