LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ) — Officers in Linthicum had a disturbing case of animal cruelty to deal with Tuesday.

They were called to Mountain Road, where they found a 14-year-old in his room, covered in blood. Next to him was a 10-week-old St. Bernard puppy that had been stabbed to death.

The young man was taken into custody, charged with animal cruelty and released to his father.

He gave no explanation for the violence.
