Body Of Missing Swimmer Found In Potomac River

POTOMAC, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County officials say they have found the body of a 19-year-old man who disappeared while swimming in the Potomac River near Great Falls.

County police say the teen's body was found Wednesday morning, two days after he went missing while swimming with friends at Purple Horse Beach, which is part of the Billy Goat Trail. Police identified the teen as Ngo Tekwe Forchick of Takoma Park.

County police detectives are now leading the investigation into the teen's death. Police say the investigation has revealed that the victim was swimming with friends on Monday when he went under the water and did not resurface.
