Accident On Md. 295 Kills Mother, Injures Children

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — A massive pileup kills a woman and sends her two young children to the hospital during the evening rush.

The crash happened on Md. 295 northbound just before 895.

Police say 41-year-old Katherine Grooms was killed when she somehow veered across the median into oncoming traffic.

Her nine-year-old and one-month-old sons were rushed to the hospital.

Three children in another car were taken to St. Agnes Hospital.

All three northbound lanes were shut down while the wreckage was cleared away.
