Police ID Postal Worker Killed In Crash On The Job

MONKTON, Md. (AP) -- Police have identified a U.S. postal worker who was killed in a crash while delivering mail in the Monkton area.

Baltimore County police say the victim was 62-year-old Bruce Deutser of Parkton.

Police say Deutser's mail truck was slowing down to make a left turn Saturday morning when it was clipped by a pickup truck whose driver was trying to pass the mail truck on the left side.

The mail truck rolled over, and Deutser was thrown into the road. He died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed as yet against the driver of the pickup truck, 53-year-old Dale Chesser of Bethany Beach, Del. Police say the state's attorney's office will make the final decision about charges.
