Teenager Drowns In Community Pool

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — Detectives are investigating after a teenage boy drowned in a community pool.

According to police, a group of juveniles entered the pool after it had closed.

The victim, Hafis Kareem, failed to resurface.

People in the group called out to someone walking nearby, who called 911.

Kareem was pronounced dead at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

He was 15.
