Dave Ferguson (host/producer of the popular weekly sports radio show: BEYONDtheCheers “Conversations inside and outside the world of sports and athletics.”) joined Ed & Steve to talk about out of control parents in sports.

Steve asked Dave about kids fearing the ride to and from the game with their parents more than coaches. Dave said its because the parents think they are coaches and it takes the kids out of sports because of the pressures. More kids are dropping out of sports than ever before.

Ed then asked Dave about the bad coaches in youth sports who try to live vicariously through the young players. Dave said those coaches are also partially responsible for the exodus of young children from organized sports.

Dave then talked about the different associations thorughout the United States that are going to begin to help teach parents about hoe to treat their young athletes.
