Bleacher Report Insider Jason Catania

Jason Catania joined the Norris and Davis show to discuss the MLB all-star game in New York.

Ken started out by asking for Jason's thoughts on the All-Star game. He said he is a fan of good pitching and that it was one of the better pitched games he has seen in awhile.

Ed then asked for his opinions on Mariano's performance. Catania said it was interesting to see him pitch in the eighth but that it made sense when you consider he needed to make sure he got into the game.

Ken then asked for his opinion on Mariano getting the MVP. Catania said he didnt have any problem with it, no offensive player stepped up and he pitched a 1-2-3 ninth so it made sense.

Ken then asked whether he thinks Rivera's all-star moment will be going down in history as something memorable. Catania said he does believe it will be a moment remembered for a long time simply because of the way he is beloved across the league. It was really special to see how the other players treated him when he first came onto the field.

Ed then asked how he assesses the Orioles this year. Catania said he thinks the Orioles are good and that they have definitely gained alot more respect this year then they had last year. They play in the toughest division in baseball but have one of the best lineups in baseball so they are right in it for the rest of the season. However the Orioles not having a clear cut number one pitcher definitely hurts them come playoff time.

Ken finished the interview by asking for his pick to win the AL East. He said he thinks the Yanks are actually the worst team in the league. He said that he doesnt know of the top three teams which team will come out on top.
