Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons made a statement to the rest of the league with a shutout win over the Super Bowl Champion Giants. Ryan threw for 270 yards and three touchdown passes as the Falcons handed the Giants their first shutout loss in the regular season since 1996. The loss also drops the Giants into a tie for the NFC East. But the team does not hold the tie-breaker advantage, making their post-season prospects a little murky.
