Actor From HBO’s ‘The Wire’ Fights Teen Homelessness In PG County

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One of the stars from the award winning TV series “The Wire” is in Maryland this weekend.

Jermaine Crawford played homeless teen “Dukie” on the show.

Now, he’s holding an event to combat teen homelessness.

The event is in Upper Malboro in Prince George’s County at Henry A. Wise Jr. High School.

Proceeds from the event will go to a 20 bed emergency shelter from teens–the only one in the county.
