Baltimore Ravens Return To The Practice Field For Training Camp

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- The Ravens are returning for training camp.

Mark Viviano has more.

This is the 18th training camp in Ravens' history and the first ever without Ray Lewis. It's the second following a Super Bowl championship and they are gathering here to win another one.

Opening day brings out the quarterbacks, led by Joe Flacco, plus rookies and veterans coming off injuries like Lardarius Webb. The Ravens insist their focus is forward and they're glad to be back in camp for a fresh start and a new season.

Of course, Baltimore fans are fired up to see football again. We asked you what you're most looking forward to now that the training camp has started.

"I'm looking for Flacco to do his job and do what he did for the past three years, so take us all the way through again," said one fan.

"I want to see what Flacco does this season, see if he can continue his play," said another.

"The defense, I hope they do good because they lost a lot of good players like Ray Lewis [and] Ed Reed," said a fan.

"I want to see Flacco out there, throwing the ball and working with everybody," said a fan.

"Put it this way, what Captain Kirk would say: back to one, warp speed and take off," said a fan.

We heard those fans say they want to see what Joe Flacco does. The horn has just sounded for the completion of this first training camp workout.

The Ravens will hold three public practices during training camp. The first will be on August 4 at Navy's Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis.
