Anne Arundel Co. Toddler Safe After Wandering Off From Home

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A 3-year-old boy is safe after he managed to open the door to his home and go wandering in Linthicum in the early morning hours.

Anne Arundel County police say a driver spotted the child at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The Capital of Annapolis reports Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy says it appears the child managed to unlock the door to his home, open it and start walking toward a relative's house. Officers started a door-to-door search and ultimately found the boy's parents with the help of a neighbor.

Mulcahy says there's no plan to file any charges against the child's parents.
