MLB.com sportswriter Brittany Ghiroli joined the Norris and Davis show on Baltimore’s 105-7 THE FAN Thursday morning to discuss the face of Baltimore sports, stating that Buck Showalter turning the entire team around makes him deserve that status.  When asked about Showalter’s decision to leave Wei Yin Chen as the pitcher in the 8th inning last night, she mentions that he has pitched very well over his past few outings and the second home run was not very expected.

Ghiroli tells that the Orioles have recently began bunting over hitting the long ball, citing the couple bunts in last night’s loss to the Royals.  She isn’t sure exactly why the Orioles have begun going for shorter hits rather than airing the ball out and hitting for the fences.  She believes the Orioles are not going to be a team that can win ball games when they do not score more than four runs.
