Man Hit By Car While Crossing Owings Mills Street

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police say a 22-year-old man has been hospitalized after being hit by a car in Owings Mills.

Police on Saturday identified the man as Franklin Akins.

Police say he was crossing Lakeside Boulevard in the area of Common Brook Road on Friday around 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by a car. Police say Akins was not crossing in a crosswalk.

Akins was transported to a hospital in serious condition. The driver of the car was not injured.
