Delays For MARC's Camden Line After Baltimore Derailment

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Officials are warning commuters who use MARC's Camden line to expect delays after a freight train derailment over the weekend.

The Maryland Transit Administration says the Camden line will operate with 15 to 30 minute delays Monday morning. MARC's Brunswick and Penn lines are not affected.

Eight cars of a CSX freight train derailed Sunday morning just south of Camden Station. No injuries were reported. The derailment was blocking all tracks on Sunday, but MARC says one track will be available Monday past the derailment site.

Camden line tickets are always honored on the Penn line and weekly and monthly tickets are honored on the light rail. Camden passengers can ride the Penn-Camden shuttle to Penn Station.
