Md. Lieutenant Watches His Sister's Wedding From Afghanistan

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)— A Maryland lieutenant stationed in Afghanistan could not make it home for his sister's wedding this past weekend, but he did not miss it.

Lt. Mike Gabbard watched his sister Avery's nuptials via FaceTime.

The ceremony took place over the weekend at the Naval Academy.

Gabbard, an Arnold native and Towson University graduate, is due back home in December.

He is set to get married in July.
