Md. Man Rescued After Being Stuck In Yard For Days

SHARPSBURG, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a Sharpsburg man was rescued from his front yard, where he was stuck for days after falling off his porch.

Potomac Valley Fire Company Chief Eric Gray tells the Herald-Mail that a tenant discovered the man outside his home on Saturday afternoon.

Gray says the man was sitting on his porch on Wednesday when his chair gave way. He says the man fell about 4 feet into the yard, which is on a slope, and was unable to make it to the main road.

Gray says the man was immobilized until he was found Saturday and flown to Meritus Medical Center.
