Jim Corbett of the USA Today joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk NFL training camps as he is traveling cross country to visit with teams.

Listen here:

Corbett, who has recently spent time in LaTrobe, PA with the Steelers, discusses Pittsburgh’s first week on the practice fields as a team. He talks about the AFC North division as he ways the positives and negatives of the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals. Corbett particularly takes a look at the Cincinnati Bengals defense as a key to winning the AFC North.

Ben Roethlisberger comes up in discussion and Corbett says that he has always been overlooked and that could be the case this season. Hear why he says Pittsburgh’s passing game can’t be overlooked even without Mike Wallace.

Corbett discusses the Redskins after spending some time in their camp in Richmond. The obvious question is about the health of quarterback Robert Griffin III. Corbett gives his opinion on both RG3 and head coach Mike Shanahan. He compares RG3 to the other rushing quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick.

The conversation shifts to 2 teams with great QB’s in the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots. Hear which team Corbett thinks will improve.
