Man Killed In Essex Home Invasion ID'ed; 2nd Suspect Remains At Large

ESSEX, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police have identified the man who was killed by the resident of an apartment during a home invasion.

Officers said on Monday that 24-year-old Kenneth David Cox of an unknown address was killed after the resident of an Essex apartment hit him in the head with a blunt object after being shot during Sunday's home invasion.

Police say Cox and another man broke into the Essex apartment early Sunday and shot the resident several times. The resident remains hospitalized.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
