Md. Native Makes His First Feature Film & Sets Sights On Baltimore For His Next

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Writer, producer and Carroll County native debuts his first feature film."Flock of Dudes" is set for release next year.

And as Gigi Barnett explains, he is already working on his second project, which will highlight Charm City.

Filmmaker and Maryland native Brian Levin wasn't exactly thinking movies when he came up with the storyline of his first feature film, "Flock of Dudes."

"Yes, it is a bit personal," he said

The star-studded movie is about a 30-something guy who decides to break-up with his best friends so he can finally grow up.

That's something Levin knows all too well after a night on the town in New York.

"You go to the doorman and he sees how many people and he kinda looks down and sees like 12 dudes like 'Let's get in here. Let's party.' At some point my friends and I were joking around. At some point we're just not getting anywhere with the girls," Levin said.

That's when the Towson University grad began writing the movie with two friends, who created a hit online sketch comedy show called "The Post Show."

"Flock of Dudes" features some big Hollywood names.

"Ray Liotta, Skylar Astin, Bryan Greenberg, Chris D'Elia," Levin said. "They're some of the best names in comedy right now, and to have all of those people in our first film is really exciting."

Although his first film isn't on the silver screen yet, Levin is already working on the next big project. He says it's a movie that will put Charm City on center stage.

"To me it feels like there's a good energy coming out of Baltimore right now artistically," Levin said. "The fact that it's my hometown really makes me want to come back and set up a movie here."

No doubt, all of Baltimore will flock to see it.

"Flock of Dudes" should hit theaters sometime next year.
