Zinno continues his Ravens training camp tour and he caught up with 3rd year LB Josh Bynes to talk about this off-season and looking forward into 2013. Bynes noted the departure of Ray Lewis and how it has changed things this season for the defense. There are now opportunities for young guys like Bynes to step up and take on a new role.

Josh Bynes talks Training Camp

Bynes will have to look to new faces for veteran leadership. In particular, it will be Daryl Smith, the long-time Jaguar who signed with the Ravens this off-season. Bynes said he is a great leader and teacher. It has been a good relationship with him so far in 2013. Also the additions of Elvis Dumervil, Marcus Spears, Chris Canty and Michael Huff will make this defense great this coming season.

With an open spot in the middle for a young linebacker, Bynes says that he wants that opportunity and knows that he can grab. There is more pressure on him to perform this year to earn that spot, but he will draw off his experience last season when he filled in for the injured Ray Lewis. Bynes says that he's ready.
