ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) — A suspect shot by Aberdeen police is now out of the hospital and behind bars.

Terrance Kisto,34, faces a number of charges–including first-degree assault and possession of a firearm.

He’s accused of firing shots in a motel parking lot Monday.

When confronted by police, he apparently pulled out a handgun.

An officer then opened fire, striking Kisto once in the upper body.

He was taken to Shock Trauma to be treated for injuries.

No one else was hurt in the shooting.

The officer involved is now on administrative leave.
