Gansler Hires New Campaign Manager
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler has hired a new campaign manager, about a month before he plans to formally announce his campaign for governor.
Matthew "Mudcat" Arnold said in an interview Friday he got the job this week.
Carrie Glenn, a veteran Democratic strategist who was named the campaign manager in June, stepped aside for health reasons.
Arnold is a political strategist who has worked on more than a dozen campaigns for state and federal office. Last year, he was the national campaign manager for the CREDO super PAC. He also was a national field trainer for Democracy for America.
Arnold worked as the field director for congressional candidates Mary Jo Kilroy and Darcy Burner.
