WEATHER BLOG: Saturday Showers

A few different things going on out there on the weather map. We have the deepening trough from eastern Canada with several pieces of energy coming around eastward over the next 24-36 hours. We have some of the convection that developed Friday well out ahead of the front that is running eastward and will move across parts of the area as a couple to a few hours of showers in waves Saturday morning into Saturday afternoon. We could have some thunder developing in toward noon. It looks like any sun will be limited in the morning though we can have breaks of sun in between the waves of showers and then the thunderstorms that develop in the afternoon. The front will probably not move through the area until the nighttime hours and we will still have at least another shower or thunderstorm into the evening. Models are a little different on the timing, but good to keep something around Saturday night (with emphasis on before midnight for now) until we see how things pan out.
