ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) — The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men who posed as surveyors and burglarized an elderly couple’s Aberdeen home Wednesday.

The couple say the men arrived at their home on the 100-block of Paradise Road at approximately 3:45 p.m.

The victims told police that two males, posing as surveyors, arrived in a large silver pickup truck and knocked on their front door.

The men said they were surveying the area and that workers would be coming out to mark the lines.

The suspects talked to the couple outside the home and then led them to the back of their residence, where the conversation continued.

After the suspects left, the couple went inside and discovered part of their house in disarray and reported cash, personal items and jewelry stolen.

Authorities were unable to locate the suspects.

One suspect was approximately 30 years old,  5’10” with tan skin and dark hair. The other man was approximately 38 and slightly shorter than 5’10″. He also had tan skin.

Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 410-836-5442.
