Small Plane Crashes On Eastern Shore, 2 Rescued

VIENNA, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say two people were rescued after a small plane crashed into the water off Dorchester County.

Police say the plane crashed Sunday evening off Elliott Island and the two male passengers were rescued by boat. Police say both are doing OK.

Officials say the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified and will investigate.

Police say efforts are underway to tow the aircraft.
